We work with Managing Agents, Landlords, Freeholders, RTM Companies and anyone who is responsible for reporting the finances for shared services in relation to Blocks of Flats and Estate Properties.

We provide Service Charge Certification Reports in line with the recommendations set out in the ICAEW Technical Release 03/11. We conduct our reviews following the work programme as set out in the Technical Release together with any further assurance work as necessary depending on the accounts or specific areas of concern.

We provide the full range of accountancy services and support for our clients. Some agents require us to produce the accounts from the records provided, whilst others will do more preparation work themselves. We are happy to provide a tailored service to suit the requirements on an agent by agent or property by property basis.

There is flexibility in the layout of the accounts within the best practice guidelines and we will work with you to produce a format that you and the lessees are happy with.

We can take care of all Statutory Reporting and Taxation requirements. It is possible that a trust tax return may be required for some Service Charge Accounts which our dedicated tax team can deal with together with any specific advice.

It is also possible that there will be an RTM company, requiring Statutory Accounts and a Confirmation Statement to be filed annually with Companies House, as well as a Corporation Tax Return with HMRC. We can take care of these requirements for you, as well as any other company secretarial matters.

We recognise the importance of the relationship between agents and lessees particularly on the larger properties. We can assist in this by attending lessee meetings and AGM’s as expenditures can be very contentious, and the presence of the accountant to assist in explanations can be helpful.
