How we support you

Service Charge Accounts are not the same as standard company accounts produced for Companies House, and require the specific technical knowledge and support of a specialist Service Charge Accountant.

PASS Portal

Our bespoke PASS Portal ensures that we make work planning, communication and the transfer of information between us seamless and efficient. The PASS Portal also provides complete transparency for you to monitor progress on Accounts. It is intended to add value to our role in the preparation of Service Charge Accounts by making your lives easier. Our PASS Portal also is configured to suit your requirements, and to accommodate your reporting and process.

Support to Accountants and Property Managers

We recognise the importance of building strong relationships with your Accounting Teams and also your Property Managers if you wish. We take time to understand your systems and reports, and invest time in ensuring that you understand the Accounts we produce, our workings and adjustments. We will happily assist when needed as we have a depth of experience in many different systems and technical accounting expertise. This may be year end journal adjustments, assistance with handover trial balances, reports or any specific accounting issues or reconciliation problems.

Tailored Service and Flexible Approach

We tailor our service to suit you. We recognise that some Agents will require us to produce Service Charge Accounts from limited records. Equally some Agents will prepare the Service Charge Accounts to an advanced level and require more limited support from us. There can often be additional work as a result of handovers from other Agents, system changes or urgent accounts which need completing very quickly. We are happy to work with you to provide what you need, unique to you, and our PASS Portal is fully configurable to reflect this.

Support to Lessees and Residents

We are happy to support you with your lessees. We understand that you are providing a service to the property lessees and that expenditures can be highly contentious. We can support your relationship by working with you to provide Service Charge Accounts in different formats, to ensure that the lessees understand easily. We are also happy to attend meetings with lessees and residents’ AGM’s, and we have found with a number of our Agents that our presence can help significantly when numbers are contentious.

Timing and Accuracy

The timing and accuracy of our Service Charge Accounts is a key metric for us. Our PASS Portal facilitates planning and monitoring for all our properties, and also supports a range of KPI’s. We have the flexibility and scope to turn around accounts very quickly when urgent issues arise. In terms of accuracy, all Service Charge Accounts are rigorously reviewed by Directors before drafts and final sets are issued, and we have well embedded procedures and checks at every stage of their production.
